Our holiday traditions evolve over time. For years after we returned to Seattle in 2000, we visited Pike Place every Christmas eve – browsing Italian groceries at DeLaurenti’s, having lunch at Le Panier, Turkish Delight or Piroshki Piroshki, etc. Nowadays we stay closer to home, but many of our traditions still seem to revolve around food; plenty of pannetone, seafood on Christmas eve, brisket Christmas day, traditional Japanese food on New Year’s day and beyond.
As far as gifting goes, we’ve certainly evolved from the playing Santa days when our son was younger, and we generally try to be thoughtful and practical. This year, my wife asked what I wanted, and after years of putting it off, I decided it was finally time for my first 3D printer – A Bambu Labs A1 Mini. I set it up and immediately put it to work printing my first project, a wall mounted adapter for its multi-color AMS Lite (Automatic Material System for holding and feeding the filament)
